Fans who paid HK $ 880 to watch the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner on Feb. 4 in Inter Miami Tournament with Hong Kong Select XI

But the Argentine has yet to feature due to injury, which has angered fans in China.

Organizer Tatler Asia on Monday offered a 50% rebate for “those who purchased tickets through the official channel for the tournament”.

Those who want to get some of their money back will have to agree to the terms, including the non-continuation of “proceedings before any court of law, tribunal or regulatory authority.”

Outraged at the settlement of his fiasco, Tatler withdrew his application for HK $ 16 million in government funding to fund the event a day after the match.

Inter Miami's next stop after Hong Kong is Japan, where Messi played 30 minutes of a friendly against Vissel Kobe in Tokyo, much to the chagrin of Chinese fans.
